Board Members Present: Dan Brannan, Jim Anderson, Bill Timmer, Rick Torkkola, Barry Ashmore, Troy Malo
President Mel Doherty called his first meeting to order at 6:13 pm. A quorum was declared. The agenda was reviewed and approved as submitted.
Secretary’s Report: The minutes from the October meeting were reviewed and approved as written.
Treasurer’s Report: The budget was reviewed but there are still a few outstanding bills to be paid before it can be finalized.
Old Business:
o We had approximately 54 members attend the fall banquet.
New Business:
o Election of new Board Members. The President nominated the following members for board positions:
* Dan Brannan – Handicap Chair
* Rick Torkkola – Year Long Events chair
* Tony & Eric Graning – 9-Hole League chair
* Jim Anderson – 18-Hole League chair
* Bill Timmer – Senior League chair
The board approved all nomination unanimously.
o Mel presented his goals and objectives for the year.
o The board considered an option to provide a means for members to make electronic payments of dues/leagues/events online with credit cards. However, the cost for setup and per transaction fee would cost too much to make it worthwhile.
o We briefly discussed handbook responsibilities and who needs to provide information for the new handbook this year. A committee will be formed to work out the details.
o We discussed whether we wanted to have a Holiday Party this year. We had to take it out of our budget due to lack of funds and the Board decided not to have an “official” Holiday party this year though someone may organize an impromptu one.
o Upcoming Board Meeting Schedule for the winter. All meetings are tentatively scheduled for 6:00 pm at T's..
