Minutes from Men's Club Meeting
May 4, 2009
Executive Board Present:  Brian Dingmann, Mel Doherty, Mark Staller, Curt Renslow, Mike Doering
Board Members Present:  Dan Brannan, Barry Ashmore, Tony Graning, Jim Anderson, Bill Timmer
Members Present:  Troy Malo, Eric Graning, Gary Obele, Warren Johnson

President Brian Dingmann called the meeting to order at 6:03 PM.  A quorum was declared.  The agenda was approved as submitted.

Secretary’s Report: The minutes from the April meeting were reviewed and approved as written.

Treasurer’s Report:
The Board will wait until the June meeting to make budget adjustments based on the total membership.  We should have a better idea by then of funds available.  The Board agreed unanimously again to grant a free Men’s Club membership to the course superintendent, Dave Simeon.

Old Business:

     o League Chair updates.  All leagues are ready to go, they will get scores and standing posted as soon as possible once league play commences.
     o Year Long Event chair update.  There are still some open spots in both the Classic and Individual Match play tournaments.  We will try and fill them by this weekend or they will remain empty.  The brackets should be done this weekend.
     o New Member Open After Action Review (AAR).  The board reviewed any issues from the New Member Open and it was recorded for future reference.
     o Spring Kickoff – Colors AAR.  The board reviewed and issues from Spring Kickoff and it was recorded for future reference.
     o Tree for Don Kolbinger.  Mike Doering will contact Don’s family and determine if they have a preference for where the tree should be planted.  Troy Malo will get in touch with Dave Simeon to arrange the purchase of the tree with billing to go to the Men’s Club.

New Business:

     o MPGA MidAm/Low Net.  The MPGA has said they have around 145 players entered so far but have extended the signup deadline through this Friday to get more.
     o Pro Shop shop games.  The Pro Shop will start having Wednesday shop games starting this Wednesday, May 6th.  The schedule of shop games is listed on their website at www.pebblecreekgolf.com.
     o Youth Program.   Nothing has been done yet in organizing the program.  Brian Dingmann asked the organizers to try and get at least one tournament set up for juniors this year.  They will come back next month will more information.
     o High School golf tournament.  Troy Malo said that he did not have any information on how many volunteers will be needed.  He expects that they might need some help in the scoring tents.

Guest Day Update. Gary Obele and Warren Johnson are working on contacting sponsors now.  They briefed the Board where they stand now and will have more information next month. 

The meeting adjourned at 7:20 PM.
