Minutes from Men's Club Meeting
April 8, 2009
Executive Board Present: Brian Dingmann, Mel Doherty, Mark Staller, Curt Renslow, Mike Doering.
Board Members Present: Dan Brannan, Jim Anderson, Barry Ashmore
Members Present: Troy Malo

President Brian Dingmann called the meeting to order at 6:06 PM.  A quorum was declared.  The agenda was reviewed and approved as submitted.

Secretary’s Report: The minutes from the March meeting were approved as written.
Treasurer’s Report: Postponed until May meeting.

Old Business:
     • Open House Review.  We had 49 members sign up at Open House, which was a very good turnout.
     • League Chair update.  9-hole league payout procedure is listed in the handbook.  All other leagues will use the standard Men’s Club “1-in-4” payout system.  All leagues will payout in cash.
     • Year Long Match Play tournaments will also follow the above procedure and payout in cash.
     • Weekend Events will use the “1-in-4” system but payout in shop credits.  This includes the Club Championship and Tournament of Champions.
     • The Budget review was tabled until May after more people sign up.

New Business:
     • League and Event Protest Procedures.  Any protest must be made prior to the conclusion of scoring for that particular event or league day.  Protests should be made to the league chairman or the event tournament director who will then present it to the Rules Committee.  The Rules Committee will consist of the Vice-President, Ex-Officio, and the applicable league chairman or tournament director.  The Rules Committee’s decision will be final.
     • MPGA Spring Banquet is April 24th at Rush Creek.  We will send 4 members.
     • Spring Banquet Agenda.  The Board discussed the agenda for our Spring Banquet on April 15th as well as possible dinner options.  Mike Doering and Curt Renslow will be available at 6:00 PM for sign up of members.
     • New Member Open volunteers.  All the board members are basically available if needed for play in the event with new members.
     • Summer Board Meeting Schedule.  The following meeting dates were set:
           o Monday, May 4th 
           o Monday, June 1st
           o Monday, July 13th
           o Monday, August 3rd
           o Thursday, September 10th
           o Monday, October 5th
           o Wednesday, November 4th
           o Wednesday, December 2nd

The meeting adjourned at 7:30 PM.
